Family Heritage

  • I° generation - The Cooper

    Maximilian was first introduced to the world of wine through his grandfather, Jakob, who is the last master cooper of the region

  • II° generation - The Manager

    Maximilian refined his knowledge of wine thanks to the great experience of his father, Günther, who served as the general manager of a winery in Alto Adige

  • III° generation - The Exporter

    In the third generation, Maximilian founded Ivigna Selection to support Italian producers of premium wines in expanding their exports to international markets

Maximilian NEUMAIR

Background and Education

Maximilian earned his master’s degree from INSEAD, one of the top business schools globally, having studied at both its Paris and Singapore campuses, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Università Cattolica in Milan.

Maximilian gained significant professional experience during his time at McKinsey in Milan, where he sharpened his strategic consulting skills. He expanded his expertise in the wine industry through his work with James Suckling and the winery St. Michael Eppan. His international exposure further grew while working with DFI Retail Group in Singapore, the largest supermarket holding in Southeast Asia
